Reference Photos
Tips for the Best Results
The quality of your reference photo directly impacts your portrait. Here's how to capture your pet beautifully.
Natural Lighting
Photograph near a window or outside on an overcast day. Avoid flash, which creates harsh shadows and dull coats.
Sharp & High-Res
Use your camera's highest resolution setting. Make sure eyes are in focus—that's where the magic happens.
Eye Level
Get down to your pet's level rather than shooting from above. This creates a more intimate, engaging portrait.
Fill the Frame
Get close enough to capture detail in the eyes, nose, and fur texture. Avoid zooming digitally if possible.
Catchlights
Position your pet facing the light source to capture those beautiful reflections in their eyes.
Capture Character
Send multiple photos showing their personality. Treats and patience are your best friends here!
